Jennifer & Matt’s wedding was my first at Rudding Park and such a joy to shoot. The venue is stunning and incredibly versatile. The wealth of lavishly decorated rooms meant that every chapter of the day was afforded it’s own backdrop.
After covering Jennifer’s preparations, I hopped over to St Wilfrid’s Church in Harrogate for the ceremony. I love it when there’s a historical connection to a particular part of the day, and since Jennifer had been baptised in the church it made their choice all the more significant.
The couple truly embraced the documentary approach and concentrated on spending quality time with their family & friends, allowing me to discreetly work close to the action and capture some really natural, unforced moments.
The choreographed first dance set the tone for some energetic dancing from the rest of the guests which makes for a pleasing conclusion to my coverage – I have no doubt that the party went on well into the small hours!
