I travel all over the country to document weddings, from the North East to North Wales and from Aberdeen to Sussex. I really enjoy travelling all over the country & visiting a wide variety of venues. That being said, however when I had the opportunity to walk to Francesca & Ronan’s York wedding, I fully embraced it!
After documenting some of Francesca’s preparations at her flat, I waited for her arrival at the Bar Convent for the ceremony. I’ve worked with Fr. Michael many times before, he’s such a friendly and welcoming priest. He’s a close friend of Ronan & Francesca, which gave the ceremony a lovely added significance.
After the mass, the wedding party took a short walk from the Convent to Hotel Du Vin where the evening reception was held.
It was a really great day for documentary photography, giving me the opportunity to create a number of subtle layered images that contain a wide variety of activity within one frame.
