The Company of Merchant Adventurers of the City of York began work on building the hall over 650 years ago - it's packed full of history and heritage, making it a really charming and interesting location for you to celebrate your wedding.
The hall can accommodate for a wide range of celebrations, from intimate ceremonies in the Governors' parlour to larger weddings in the great hall. The great hall is also used for banqueting, and is a truly stunning setting for your meal. The Bradshaws catering team will do a great job of looking after you and making sure you have a wonderful wedding breakfast!
After your Merchant Adventurers Hall wedding ceremony, you can enjoy a drinks reception and some relaxed portraits in the especially beautiful surrounding gardens. The undercroft is ideal for your evening celebrations, too.
