I’ve the pleasure of witnessing a wide variety of wedding celebrations and I’m occasionally asked what I think makes a good wedding; my view is that if it’s right for the couple and their family, and it’s a fair reflection of their characters, interests and beliefs, then it’s a good day! Carrie & Will’s wedding celebration at the Amadeus in London was a superb occasion and certainly fit that criteria.

They’d taken care of the civil ceremony a few days earlier, and were now assembling their dearest friends and family to join them in a religious celebration and reception. The Amadeus was the perfect venue for them, an airy and open space with subtle character.
My coverage began with some relaxed documentary coverage of Carrie’s preparations at a nearby hotel, before a short walk over to the Amadeus in time for the wedding. The weather was being typically British and there were a few short dashes from taxis into the venue! After the ceremony, Will, Carrie & their guests retired to the basement for some well deserved bubbles and canapés.
We took a short walk around the neighbouring streets to get some very relaxed portraits of the newlyweds before returning for a delicious dinner and some marvellous speeches (easily one of my favourite parts of the day).
Below are some kind words from Carrie & Will, followed by a handful of my favourite images from Carrie & Will’s Amadeus London Wedding.
Thank you Ian!
They are wonderful, we are delighted – and enjoying showing them all to family!
Best wishes,Carrie & Will
